Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Q2 Revenue Declines

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Oct. 31 reported second-quarter (ended Sept. 30) revenue of $162 million, which was down 36.5% from revenue of $255 million during the previous-year period. Through the half-year, SPHE revenue topped $361 million, down 17.3% from a year ago.

Comcast Offering Netflix 4K Content on X1 Set-Top

Comcast Cable Oct. 31 announced the availability of Netflix Ultra HD 4K programming on the Xfinity X1 set-top box. Xfinity subscribers can now browse Netflix 4K movies and TV shows alongside live, on-demand, DVR and Web programming.

WWE Q3 Home Entertainment Revenue Dips 8%

World Wrestling Entertainment Oct. 26 reported third-quarter (ended Sept. 30) home entertainment revenue of $2.3 million, down 8% from revenue of $2.5 million during the previous-year period. Operating income declined 34% to $600,000, from $900,000 a year ago.
