PS3 Sony Drops PS3 Price to $299

Sony announced Aug. 18 that its PlayStation 3, long the priciest of the next-generation video game consoles and the only one to include a Blu-ray Disc player, will get a $100 price cut. A new 120GB slimmer version of the system will retail for $299 starting in September.
