Sony to Deliver Digital Copy Direct From Blu-ray Disc
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Sept. 28 said going forward it would incorporate directly on a Blu-ray Disc the digital copy of a new-release movie playable on the PlayStation Portable (PSP). The digital file can be transferred from the disc to a PSP using the Blu-ray drive in a PlayStation 3.

Analyst: Game Console Price Cuts a Boon to Netflix
Sony Computer Entertainment America’s $100 price cut to the PlayStation 3 video game system should drive subscriber growth for online DVD rental pioneer Netflix, a Wall Street analyst said. But the result would primarily stem from Sony’s price cut forcing Microsoft to drop its price on the Xbox 360.
