Sony Electronics unveiled its newest Blu-ray gadget last week with the VAIO FZ notebook line.

The new series comes in a premium and standard model, with the premium device stocked with Blu-ray playback and recordability.

The VAIO FZ notebook is small, weighing less than six pounds. The premium model boasts a 15.4-inch widescreen display with Sony's patented XBRITE-HiColor screen technology.

The premium model clocks in at about $2,000. The standard version of the new VAIO is priced at $1,400.
