26 Sep, 2007 By: Chris Tribbey

Sharp will offer a Blu-ray Disc recorder with a 1-terabyte hard drive this December in Japan, making it the highest storage capacity Blu-ray player in the market.

According to Reuters, the player will be available in Japan beginning Dec. 1 for 300,000 yen, or $2,600, and will be capable of holding 127 hours of digital programming. The news report also stated Sharp will have eight more Blu-ray players in the Japanese market by year's end. However, Sharp has set no timeline for any of the players in the United States.
