'Scene It?' Goes VOD With Comcast

Scene It?, the company that invented the DVD board game, and cable provider Comcast April 21 announced an agreement to develop customized video-on-demand versions of the company's popular movie and TV trivia games for the cabler's ON DEMAND service.

The interactive games have been in the offering since February, featuring Scene It?'s movie, TV, “James Bond” and junior editions.

This week marks the first time a Scene It? ON DEMAND game and movie will debut on the VOD service simultaneously, with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.Starting April 21, Comcast subscribers can order the hit movie and hit up the “Free Movies” section of the VOD service to play the “Harry Potter”-themed trivia game.

The games are free and don't require a DVD or a game board to play.

Since launching in February, the “Scene It?” interactive games have become one of the most popular original programs on Comcast's On Demand service, according to the companies.
