'Scene It?' Captures DVD Prizes27 Jul, 2005 By: Holly J. Wagner
Screenlife, the company behind the “Scene It?” DVD games, has won three awards from the DVD Association.
Chosen from 170 entries from eight nations, DVD Association members recognized Screenlife with the DVD Video Game Excellence Award for the Scene It? James Bond Edition, the Technical Achievement Excellence Award for Scene It? Turner Classic Movies Edition and the 2005 Facility Excellence Award for work from a DVD production facility.
“We are thrilled that the DVD Association selected Screenlife as the recipient of these three distinguished awards,” said Dave Long, co-founder and CEO of Screenlife. “The Facility Excellence Award is a huge honor for us; we are excited to be the forerunner in the industry. DVD technology has opened the door to an entirely new entertainment platform for gaming and we are energized by this great recognition.”
Screenlife launched its DVD-based games in 2002. Now the company has several iterations and its games are available in five languages, across 14 countries, and in more than 40,000 retail locations worldwide.
During the 2005 Toy Fair, Scene It? TV Edition won the game of the year award.
