SAG Wants DVD Residual Increase18 Jun, 2008 By: Erik Gruenwedel
With less than two weeks remaining in its contract with studios and television producers, the Screen Actors Guild remained resolute to extract an increase in DVD residuals, among other demands, despite the issue's non-factor in recent contract agreements with writers, directors and daytime TV actors.
In a statement, SAG said it also wanted consent for clips, jurisdiction and residuals for all new media productions.
“We are united and committed to working together in achieving the best possible contract for the benefit of all actors,” SAG said in a statement.
The contract between SAG and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers expires June 30.
