RSE Video Discount Superstore Shutters

31 Mar, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey

RSE Video Discount Superstore, one of the oldest mom-and-pop video stores in the Midwest, is closing up shop. The Milwaukee-area store will have a liquidation sale April 1 on all its merchandise.

Owned by Rod Eglash, a member of the Entertainment Merchants Association (formerly the Video Software Dealers Association) since 1987 and president of the Wisconsin chapter of the organization's indie group since 2000, is retiring, along with his wife, Helen.

The family said they were proud of surviving 24 years in the business “against all odds,” with a Target store across the street and nearby Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos competing for business.
