Marvel's 'The Avengers' Stan Lee Media Inc. Sues Disney Over Marvel Superheroes Rights

A former business venture created by Stan Lee has filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Co. claiming the media company owes it billions in profits generated by the theatrical, home entertainment and consumer products sales of Marvel characters depicted in 'Iron Man 2,' 'Thor,' 'X-Men: First Class,' 'The Avengers' and 'The Amazing Spider-Man.'

'Cinderella'/'The Avengers' Disney Enchants Charts With 'Avengers,' 'Cinderella'

Two titles distributed by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment topped the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert chart for the week ended Oct. 7 as well as the Blu-ray Disc sales chart. 'The Avengers' landed at No. 1 for the second consecutive week and 'Cinderella: Diamond Edition' debuted at No. 2.
