QuickTV Acquires DVD International25 Oct, 2002 By: Kurt Indvik
QuickTV Inc., a holding company, has reached an agreement to acquire DVD International (DVDI).
Founded in 1997, DVDI is a distributor of home video, with about 100 titles from a broad range of indie providers such as Alpha DVD, RADCO Media and dance.com.
David Goodman, president of DVDI, will operate as president of QuickTV. “With this new agreement, QuickTV will seek out such independents with the intent of distributing their properties into the marketplace,” said Goodman.
The umbrella company will coordinate the sharing of expertise and resources amongst member companies such as DVDI. Besides traditional advances and royalties, DVDI will offer independent content creators the opportunity to own stock in QuickTV.
