PorchLight Home Entertainment has launched a new family- and faith-based label. The first DVD release under the PorchLight Inspire brand will be the PBS animated series “Adventures From the Book of Virtues: Adventures in Faith” Aug. 12 (prebook July 9).
“Since our launch last summer, PorchLight Home Entertainment has already established a reputation for releasing the best in children's and family programming on DVD,” said PorchLight Home Entertainment president Gary Jones. “The PorchLight Inspire label will highlight programming that is inspirational, faith based and family friendly, with a prominent spiritual message.”
Bruce Johnson, CEO and co-president of PorchLight Entertainment added: “PorchLight Inspire reflects our ongoing commitment to making and distributing high-quality, faith-based programs. We could not be more excited than to be launching this new label.”
“Adventures From the Book of Virtues: Adventures in Faith” was produced by PorchLight Entertainment, and episodes are based on the Christian book by William J. Bennett.
During the first quarter of 2009, the Inspire label will also be on the Christian version of “Jay the Jet Plane.” PorchLight produced the secular version that aired on PBS.
