PorchLight Gets Animated Content

14 Jan, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey

Three animated children's TV series have been snapped up by PorchLight Home Entertainment in an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Europe's Granada International.

“The PorchLight Home Entertainment team is truly excited to bring this popular and unique children's programming to DVD for the first time in the U.S. market,” said Brenda Bisner, VP acquisitions, children's programming for PorchLight.

The ages 6-12 Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids is a series of live-and-learn tales aimed at correcting bad habits in kids; the ages 4-6 Funky Valley is about a farmyard of odd animals; and the ages 4-6 Funky Town is a spinoff of Funky Valley, where two characters start running a milk bar in the big city.

“We are happy to partner with PorchLight Home Entertainment to release these much loved programs in the U.S.,” said Carol Lee, VP of North American home entertainment for Granada. “I believe they will be as popular here as they are in other countries.”
