Podcasts Promote Fitness DVD29 Mar, 2006 By: Jessica Wolf
BayView has made available an iPod interview with Kelly Peters about Make It Happen.
Exercisers in the iPod nation already plug into fitness at Web sites offering downloadable audio routines, but BayView Entertainment is the first supplier to tap into the iTunes download craze to support DVD. The supplier has podcasts featuring interviews with fitness stars from its exercise videos.
One is an interview with Gilad, trainer to the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Lalanne and Joe Theismann. Gilad's titles include New Best of Bodies in Motion, Step & Tone, Step Aerobics and Abs Workout.
The interviews don't just plug the DVDs, said Pete Apruzzese, BayView director of marketing. They also give the fitness stars a venue to share their personal health and fitness philosophies.
It's another way to connect to the consumer to create a brand, he said.
The second podcast installment is with Kelly Peters about Make It Happen: Hip Hop Vol. One.
Free subscriptions are available through such programs as Apple's iTunes. Users also can download the “10 Minute Fitness Feature” through other podcast directories as well as www.bayviewentertainment.com.
