29 Aug, 2006 By: Jessica Wolf

Toronto police busted a major Canadian counterfeit DVD operation last week.

Officers raided three locations in Toronto over the Aug. 26-27 weekend and seized more than 20,000 pirated discs, according to CTV. The goods represented about $400,000, the report said.

One of the piracy locations had the ability to produce as many as 560 movies per hour, according to the Canadian Motion Picture Distributors Association's Anti-Piracy Unit.

Three women were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by a crime.
