Paramount's 'Godfather' Saga Makes DVD Debut Oct. 9

Paramount Home Entertainment's The Godfather DVD Collection, containing the three films in the celebrated series along with more than three hours of extras, will hit retail Oct. 9. The release marks the debut of the films on DVD.

The five-disc pack will sell for $74.95. The films will not be available for individual sale.

The Godfather DVD Collection also offers a special director's commentary by Francis Ford Coppola.

An extras-loaded bonus disc features "Coppola's Notebook"; a 73-minute documentary, "The Godfather Family: A Look Inside," featuring original screen tests and rehearsals; a 1971 behind-the-scenes featurette;two featurettes on "The Music of the Godfather," spotlighting composers Nino Rota and Carmine Coppola; additional scenes, and more.
