In a move that demonstrates the rising cachet of home entertainment, a reorganization at Paramount Pictures unfolding this week will see Paramount Home Entertainment president Tom Lesinski reporting directly to Paramount chairman and CEO Brad Grey.

Rob Moore was named president, worldwide marketing, distribution and operations for Paramount Pictures, replacing exiting vice chairman and COO Robert J. Friedman. Friedman has been overseeing all domestic and international marketing and publicity for theatrical and home entertainment releases.

Moore's appointment represents a shift in the studio's title and reporting system. Studio president Gail Berman, appointed in March; Moore; CFO Mark Badagliacca; Paramount Home Entertainment president Tom Lesinski; and Paramount's specialty film division, Paramount Classics; will report directly to Grey.

Moore, a veteran of Revolution Studios and Disney, will be responsible for domestic and international marketing and distribution, administration, legal and business affairs and backlot operations.

“Rob brings to Paramount the most impressive combination of expertise in operations, strategic dealmaking and marketing and distribution in the business,” Grey said. “With his knowledge and experience, Rob will play an integral role in our growth, both domestically and around the world.”
