Paramount Puts Clips on Facebook10 Mar, 2008 By: Billy Gil
Paramount Pictures has put thousands of movie clips on Facebook — making it the first major studio to do so — through an application called VooZoo, in partnership with Los Angeles-based developer FanRocket, according to The Associated Press.
The service, launched March 10, puts clips of such Paramount films as The Ten Commandments and Forrest Gump on the social networking site. DVDs of the films will be promoted via a button that appears at the end of each clip.
“The short clips for a movie that you've already seen before helps you relive the moment,” said Paramount SVP of entertainment Derek Broes.
