Paddington 'Paddington' Tops Home Video Sales Charts

Anchor Bay Entertainment's family film 'Paddington' debuted at No. 1 the week ended May 3 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, as well as the dedicated Blu-ray sales chart. Sony Pictures' 'The Wedding Ringer' topped the rental chart.

Fox Ups Q3 Profit, Revenue Despite Lower SVOD License Revenue

20th Century Fox Studios May 6 reported an 8% increase in third-quarter (March 31) operating income of $382 million, compared with income of $354 million during the prior-year period. Revenue increased 5% to $2.38 billion, from revenue of $2.27 billion a year ago.

Roku Adds Sharp, Insignia Brands to TV Models

Roku May 6 announced it has added the Sharp brand to its line of Internet-connected televisions. Sharp Roku TVs will be available for purchase exclusively at Best Buy in 43-inch and 50-inch screen sizes, priced at $380 and $500, respectively. The units feature 1080p Full HD resolution and a 60hz native refresh rate.
