DVD set-top game company SBG/b EQUAL is teaming up with educational PC game provider Knowledge Adventure to distribute its new slate of children's branded DVD games worldwide.

The first interactive Knowledge Adventure games premiere next month at New York's Toy Fair and will include Jump Start PReK-1st Grade: Frankie's Field Trip, which builds skills in letter sounds, telling time, colors and shapes and problem-solving through puzzles, games and sing-a-long songs.

JumpStart Power Prep is based on the “JumpStart” character Polly Sparks and will arrive in levels for second, third and fourth-graders. These feature multi-player quiz games focusing on essential math, reading and language skills and include test-taking tips.

Knowledge Adventure is a pioneer in children's software, said Mark Sutcliffe, CEO of SBG/b EQUAL, in an announcement of the deal.

“The company's award-winning titles are a great addition to SBG/b EQUAL's current slate of board and TV DVD games and further supports our goal of providing the marketplace with the best in entertainment for all demographics,” he said.

DVD game producer the b EQUAL Company recently merged with Specialty Board Games Inc. to form SBG/b EQUAL.
