Computer animation company Mainframe Entertainment Inc. has appointed a new chief financial officer to helm all of the company's financial planning and operations, Mainframe announced today.
As CFO, George Lawton will report to company president Brett Gannon and will continue to provide valuable input into all of the general business affairs of the company, a spokesperson said.

Previously he held positions of increasing responsibility in various companies in Canada and abroad. Lawton has more than 15 years of experience and came to Mainframe from Versacold Corp., where he was controller.
Mainframe Entertainment Inc. produces of computer animation for television and direct-to-video titles and is expanding into long-form CGI for feature films, commercials and interactive entertainment.
The company is best known to the home video community as the makers of Barbie in the Nutcracker and is in production of 13 episodes of Spider-Man for Columbia Tristar Domestic Television. Founded in 1993, the company employs more than 200 artists, animators, technicians and production personnel, and has won many prestigious awards for its creative and technical innovations, including an induction into the Smithsonian Institute.
