Nero Updates Production Suite28 Sep, 2009 By: Chris Tribbey
Timed to coincide with the October release of Microsoft’s Windows 7, software company Nero has updated its Nero 9 home entertainment software suite with new multimedia features and a “back it up and burn” feature.
“We really feel it’s important to solve the problem of a lot of different media with a lot of different devices,” said Kris Barton, EVP of global products for Nero. “We have a big focus on quality and ease of use.”
Nero 9 Reloaded now allows users to archive high-def videos without the need for a burner and move content to a Blu-ray Disc player via a USB Flash drive or memory card; import PowerPoint presentations to DVD or Blu-ray for TV playback; and quickly remove ads from video content.
“For new customers there’s a lot in it that they will want,” Barton said. “One of the biggest things we have is that it compliments Windows 7.”
The software suite will be available the first week of October for $99.99, or $79.99 if downloaded. A Blu-ray Disc authoring plug-in will be available as a $9.99 download.
