NAVD Sets Date for Annual Convention

16 Dec, 2004 By: Jessica Wolf

The National Association of Video Distributors (NAVD) has set April 10-12, 2005 for its annual convention to be held once again at the Loews Santa Monica hotel in Santa Monica, Calif.

NAVD has gained a new member since last year's gathering, Alliance Entertainment, a strong player in music distribution, that will participate in the convention alongside fellow NAVD members Baker & Taylor, Canada's Row Entertainment, Flash Distributors, Ingram Entertainment and WaxWorks/VideoWorks.

The NAVD board will meet the first day of the conference, allowing for two days of supplier face-to-face meetings for the distributors in attendance, said Bill Burton, executive director for NAVD.

Burton said last year's convention garnered positive feedback from attendees on the studio and distributor side, and he expects attendance about 60 to 75 attendees, around the same number that met last year.
