Jeff Berman has been appointed to the newly created role of EVP of marketing and content of MySpace. He will report to CEO and co-founder Chris DeWolfe.
Berman will spearhead and develop new MySpace marketing initiatives. He also will oversee expansion of the site's music, film, comedy, impact, MySpaceTV and celebrity channels.
Berman joined MySpace in 2006 as SVP of public affairs and led the creation of the impact channel, which promotes interaction based on social and political issues. He was promoted to general manager of MySpaceTV in 2007. Prior to MySpace Berman ran his own strategic, political and crisis communications consulting firm.
