MySpace Flies With 'Superman'

8 Nov, 2006 By: Jessica Wolf

Warner Home Video is looking for a few good Superman fans on MySpace.com.

The studio is running a promotion on the social networking site offering two lucky fans a chance to win a trip to Hollywood to attend the Superman Returns DVD release gala Warner is hosting Nov. 16.

The pair will be flown to Hollywood for the party and given a spot on the red carpet, where they will report on the event for MySpace, interviewing director Bryan Singer, star Brandon Routh and other members of the cast as well as classic Superman stars Noel Neill (Lois Lane) and three Jimmy Olsens: Marc McClure, Jack Larson and Aaron Ashmore.

Via the Superman Returns MySpace page, fans can also create buddy icons and add the trailer for the DVD to their own page. The page also touts the “Superman Returns” video game from Electronic Arts, which streets Nov. 22, a week before the DVD.

Warner has big plans for its “Superman Returns” party. The title arrives simultaneously on DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The studio is setting up a testing room to interact with the high-def versions of the blockbuster title, as well as an area to test drive the video game.
