Musicland.com Gets New VP

Debra Brummer has been appointed VP of Musicland.com, The Musicland Group announced today.

In her new post, Brummer is responsible for developing the strategy for the Musicland Internet division and how it supports the Musicland brands. She reports to Connie Fuhrman, EVPof Merchandising.

"We are pleased to welcome Debra to Musicland," said Fuhrman. "Her years of click-and-mortar experience in branded retail will help our E-Commerce team leverage existing competencies, build new competencies and move us to the next level of success."

Brummer comes to Musicland with nine years of senior managerial experience in branded retail from companies such as The Gap in San Francisco, J.Crew in New York, The Children's Place in Secaucus, N.J., and, most recently, Net Perceptions in Edina, Minn. and New York.

The Musicland Group, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Best Buy Co. and operates more than 1,300 retail stores in 49 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands under the names Sam Goody, Suncoast, Media Play and On Cue.
