Concert festival season is set to kick into full swing, and music DVD suppliers are making the most of their rock-n-roll fan bases.
Image Entertainment is tagging its two-disc DVD and separate CD set from last year's Austin City Limits Festival to this year's concertgoers.
Tickets to this year's festival, which hits in September, went on sale April 13, and for a limited time ticket buyers can also pre-order the DVD set at a special price with their ticket purchase.
The title streets June 20 on DVD for $24.99 and CD for $18.98. It features nearly two hours of performances from the ACL 2005 lineup, including Jet, The Allman Brothers Band, The Bravery, Thievery Corporation, Block Party, Kaiser Chiefs, Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Keane, Rachel Yamagata, Jason Mraz and more.
A second disc is all about the extras, with interviews with 14 of the featured artists and four mini documentaries, as well as a photo gallery and “unedited musings” from concertgoers at last year's fest.
April 18, Coachella the movie hits DVD from Golden Voice and ANTI for $24.99.
For an added $25, Coachella fans could preorder the DVD via Ticketmaster with the purchase of two-day passes for the desert festival, which is coming April 29 and 30 to Indio, Calif.
The Coachella DVD includes highlights from the festival's six-year run, including Radiohead, Arcade Fire, The White Stripes, The Flaming Lips, Bjork, Bright Eyes, The Mars Volta and many more.
DVD bonus features include interviews with Coachella alumni Belle and Sebastian, Ben Harper, Dresden Dolls, Mos Def, The Libertines and many more, along with a photo gallery of the festival's first six years.
