NBC Universal has signed a long-term carriage agreement to air mun2, a Latino cable channel targeting young adults, via Comcast's digital cable TV systems beginning in April. Telemundo signed on to become part of the cable system lineup in Seattle and Detroit.
Comcast will offer the programming from both networks through its On Demand service. It will include news specials via mun2 and episodes from several of Telemundo's current telenovelas, according to NBC Universal.
Bridget Baker, president of TV Networks Distribution, NBC Universal, said “mun2's edgy and award-winning bilingual programs and Telemundo's sizzling telenovela's appeal to Comcast's diverse customer base.”
