MTI to Utilize Shelf Talkers

MTI Home Video is taking a page from the marketing playbooks of major studios and will begin having its retail partners use “shelf talkers” — MTI-specific cards pointing to DVDs — to showcase product.

Dozens of MTI's accounts have signed on, the company said.

“We've been working with our retail base to bring more attention to our product, and the new shelf talkers fit the bill,” said Larry Brahms, president of MTI Home Video. “They are something that we are able to produce and ship direct to our accounts, something that will help bring attention to our product for the rental and sellthrough markets.”

Brahms said the retailer response has been “phenomenal” and the first titles included in the marketing plan are Last Request, Valentina's Tango and The Planet.
