Movielink Rocks Out With More Music Content

21 Mar, 2007 By: Jessica Wolf

Movielink has expanded its music video catalog, with content from CenterStaging Musical Productions, EGami Media and Digital Music Group.

The Internet-based video-on-demand site now has everything from long-form music concerts to practice sessions to live shows.

CenterStaging's online portal, rehearsals.com, will be a part of the content at Movielink.com. It provides access to the rehearsal studio and gives fans around the world a backstage view of all that goes on before concerts, televisions shows, tours and recording sessions of their favorite performers. Original content includes exclusive candid interviews and discussions from such up-and-coming artists as Sick Puppies, Fenix TX and The Deadly Syndrome, to more established musicians including Taylor Dayne, Edgar Winter and Chris Isaak.

Egami, the digital arm of Image Entertainment, will provide a wide range of titles including music concerts such as Johnny Cash: Anthology, Katt Williams Live and Kiss: Rock The Nation – Live!, as well as independent films and television series including Assault on Precinct 13 and “The Dick Van Dyke Show.”

Digital Media Group will provide music video content beginning with the “Masters of Rock” series, featuring artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as classic television favorites “Gumby and Friends,” “I Spy” and “My Favorite Martian.”

“Through these deals, Movielink significantly builds the service's long form music-focused content, offering users an extensive selection of on-stage and behind-the-scenes performances from artists old and new,” said Jim Ramo, CEO, Movielink.
