Movielink through September is bowing more than 100 independent films as part of the Santa Monica, Calif.-based video-on-demand download service's Indie Spotlight.
Titles include Akeelah and the Bee (Lionsgate), Junebug (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment), Academy Award nominated documentary Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room (Magnolia Pictures), Academy Award winner Born into Brothels (ThinkFilm), Super Size Me (Hart Sharp Video), An Early Frost (Wolfe Video), The Dead Next Door (Tempe Video), Puppet Master (Wizard Entertainment) and Shadow: Dead Riot (Media Blasters).
Documentaries from Associated Television International and Inecom Entertainment Company, Bollywood feature films from Eros International, and “VeggieTales” animated hits from Big Idea will also be added.
Movielink (Movielink.com) through Sept. 30 is sponsoring a sweepstakes whereby one winner and a guest will win roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the American Film Institute Fest 2006, Nov. 1-12 in Los Angeles.
Movielink is a joint venture of MGM, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. The service also offers content from Walt Disney Pictures and 20th Century Fox.
