Amazon Video Streaming in Dolby Vision High Dynamic Range

Amazon June 27 announced it would begin offering select content in Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR) resolution, including the second season of original series “Bosch” on Prime Video. The e-commerce giant is also offering digital sales of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s 'The Smurfs 2,' 'After Earth,' 'Men in Black 3,' 'Hancock,' 'Salt,' 'Pineapple Express,' 'Fury,' 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' 'Chappie' and 'Elysium' in HDR on Amazon Video.

New Netflix app logo on the right Netflix Reportedly Eyeing Content Downloads

Netflix reportedly will soon allow subscribers to download select (likely original) content for viewing offline. It’s a move rivals Starz, Epix and Amazon Prime Video have started — the latter last September offering select movies and TV shows to portable devices. Devices include Kindle Fire tablets, Fire mobile phone, Android and Apple iOS.
