MGM Puts Kitty in a Box

23 May, 2003 By: Brendan Howard

Normally, cats hate getting stuffed into a box. However, in answer to the question, “What could possibly make ‘Hello Kitty' any cuter?” MGM Home Entertainment has put five “Hello Kitty” DVDs in a jewelry box. At least the diminutive female feline isn't going to the vet.

The Hello Kitty Gift Set hits stores Sept. 2 (prebook July 29) at $64.96.

The colorful kidvid set includes two new titles — Hello Kitty Plays Pretend and Hello Kitty Tells Fairy Tales — as well as three titles already available as singles — Hello Kitty Goes to the Movies, Hello Kitty Becomes a Princess and Hello Kitty Saves the Day.

Each of the discs is 55 minutes, has English, French and Spanish language tracks, as well as a DVD-ROM link to sanrio.com that lets users download games and coloring pages.
