Summit Entertainment has named Vivian Mayer-Siskind as head of publicity.
She most recently served as SVP of publicity for Universal Studios Home Entertainment brand marketing division. Mayer-Siskind also spent four years as the publicity head for DreamWorks, and served in publicity roles with ABC/Capital Cities Inc. and MGM.
“Vivian is the kind of seasoned executive that we have been bringing into the Summit fold, one that brings extensive experience, energy and enthusiasm,” said Summit COO Bob Hayward.
Reporting to the yet-to-be-named president of marketing, Mayer-Siskind's title will be SVP of worldwide publicity.
Also at Summit, veteran home entertainment executive Sandy Friedman has been tapped as VP of home entertainment, reporting to division chief Steve Nickerson. Friedman ran worldwide home video operations at DreamWorks prior to the studio's acquisition by Viacom and subsequently served for a brief time as VP of content operations at Netflix.
