Looking to expand upon the $1.6 billion box office science-fiction juggernaut “The Matrix” trilogies, Warner Home Video, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, Dec. 7 will launch The Ultimate Matrix Collection and The Ultimate Matrix Collection Limited Edition, separate 10-disc gift sets priced at $79.92 SRP and $129.92 SRP, respectively.

Pre-book for special editions starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving is Nov. 2.

In addition to three original theatrical releases — The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions — the gift sets feature more than 35 hours of material encompassing virtually all aspects of the franchise, including previously released companion DVD releases, The Matrix Revisited and The Animatrix and video game Enter the Matrix.

“This is the definitive DVD collection that “Matrix” fans have been waiting for,” said Mark Horak, EVP of Warner Home Video. “A pop-culture phenomenon that continues to break new ground, “The Matrix” has clearly become one of the most successful entertainment franchises of all time.”
