Hollywood Entertainment has hired Jim Marcum as executive v.p. and chief financial officer, added John Alderson as senior v.p. stores western division, and upped Scott Schultze to executive v.p. and chief operatingofficer.
Marcum, who replaces c.f.o. David Martin, previously served as c.f.o. with two retail corporations, while Alderson managed 800 Starbucks stores as senior v.p. after working a combined 30 years with three largerestaurant chains.
President Mark Wattles says Hollywood has focused on becoming "a more structured and financially disciplined company" for the past eight months, and now the new team's task willbe to "significantly grow profits going forward."
In a statement he thanked Martin for successfully leading negotiations for the company's loan restructuring agreement completed earlier this month.
