Mattel's extreme secret agent, Max Steel, is following in Barbie's footsteps with a new CGI-animated feature in the works from Mainframe Entertainment, which will go straight to DVD.
Mainframe Entertainment is an IDT Entertainment company and has teamed up with Mattel to create the 66-minute program titled Max Steel: Endangered Species.
“With this new production deal, we continue our successful, long-standing relationship with Mattel,” said Rick Mischel, CEO of Mainframe Entertainment. “It's wonderful that Mattel continues to trust their biggest and most successful brands to Mainframe, and we look forward to producing more top-quality, exciting new 3-D CGI adventures for the millions of fans of their beloved properties to enjoy.”
Mainframe was also responsible for producing Barbie of Swan Lake, released on video by Lions Gate Home Entertainment, and is currently also producing a CGI-animated “Inspector Gadget” DVD feature.
