Video audiences will get to fly the hip-hop skies Sept. 7 when MGM Home Entertainment releases the comedy Soul Plane, starring Tom Arnold, Kevin Hart, D.L. Hughley and rapper Snoop Dogg.
The film earned $13.7 million at the box office.
Prebook is Aug. 10 (DVD $26.98, VHS rental-priced).
The airplane comedy will come on both VHS and DVD in an ‘R'-rated version and an unrated “Mile High” version.
DVD extras on the ‘R'-rated version include seven deleted scenes, outtakes, “Boarding Pass: The Making of Soul Plane,” a cast video commentary, an extended version of the flight instructional video from the film, an Easter egg, a behind-the-scenes photo gallery and the trailer. The unrated DVD will have seven-and-a-half minutes of never-before-seen footage, four “racy” deleted scenes, the feature “The Upgrade” as well as an audio commentary.
The unrated VHS version will be a racier extended version of the film.
