LodgeNet To Screen Top Oscar Winners

Travelers who missed the theatrical releases on some Oscar winners won't have to wait for home video to see them.

LodgeNet, a provider of broadband, interactive television services to hotels will waste no time delivering them to guests at more than 5,400 properties worldwide.

Beginning next week, guests in LodgeNet-served hotels can enjoy two movies recognized at last night's Oscar awards ceremony: Gosford Park (Best Original Screenplay), and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,/I> (Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Original Score).

Three more award-winning titles are in LodgeNet's lineup for May. A Beautiful Mind received honors for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Connelly), Best Director (Ron Howard), and Best Adapted Screenplay. Monster's Ball features Halle Berry's Best Actress performance, while Black Hawk Down was honored for Best Sound and Best Film Editing. Training Day – for which Denzel Washington won Best Actor – premiered on LodgeNet systems in January.
