One year after cutting a co-production deal together, Lionsgate and Televisa are releasing their first feature film.
Amor, Letra por Letra streets Dec. 16 (prebook Nov. 19) on DVD at $19.98.
The romantic comedy tells the story of Hanna and her friend, Amanda, who have both just lost their jobs. While trying to find the severance checks she lost, Amanda gets into some funny misadventures that lead her to romance.
The film was released theatrically in theaters earlier this year in Mexico and stars an ensemble cast of established Mexican actors: Silvia Navarro (“Catalina y Sebastian”), Rafael Amaya (Así del Precipicio), Plutarco Haza (Propiedad Ajena) and Alan Estrada (Casi Divas).
Lionsgate entered the deal with Grupo Televisa SA November 2007. The agreement allows for the two companies to co-produce films and TV shows in both English and Spanish.
