Entertainment industry pioneer Warren N. Lieberfarb has joined the board of directors of thePlatform, a leading provider of digital audio and video publishing solutions.

Customers of thePlatform's include media, entertainment and enterprise companies that use its technology to publish digital media for delivery over any network and to any device.

Lieberfarb has been innovative in finding new channels for distributing filmed entertainment and has been instrumental in the development and growth of pay television, home video and cable.
He began his career at Paramount and Twentieth Century Fox before heading Warner Home Video for nearly 20 years. He is currently the president and CEO of Warren N. Lieberfarb & Associates — a media, entertainment and technology-consulting firm.
In 1999, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented him with an Emmy Award for the development of DVD technology.
Lieberfarb also serves on the boards of the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, the American Film Institute (AFI) and Digital Theatre Systems (DTS). He is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
