Latino Conference April 108 Feb, 2007 By: Billy Gil
For the fourth consecutive year, Home Media Magazine is hosting its annual Latino DVD conference, an entire day of informational presentations and discussions dedicated to the booming Latino home entertainment market in the United States.
Slated for April 10 at the Bel Age Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif., the conference is produced by Home Media Magazine, in cooperation with DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group, The Hollywood Reporter and the Entertainment Merchants Association (formerly VSDA).
Latino DVD 4 will focus on the growth and evolution of the Latino video market and the Latino demographic, which is nearing $900 billion in purchasing power. In addition to an information-packed market-research session, product showcase luncheon and talent-talk panel with filmmakers, Latino DVD 4 will feature a keynote address from a celebrity speaker, along with the Third Annual Latino DVD Awards, which has attracted attention from news outlets around the world.
More than 250 attendees are expected to attend, including top executives with the major studios, independents, distributors, key retailers and other industry leaders.
“Latino DVD is an ever-evolving business that continues to grow at a rapid pace,” said Angelique Flores, executive conference producer and managing editor of Home Media Magazine. “With the content available and with Latinos and others hungry for this kind of entertainment, this year's conference has much to explore, from digital delivery and marketing to the growing niches under the escalating Latino DVD banner.”
The event is open to the trade only. Advance registration fees are $245 for DEG and EMA members and The Hollywood Reporter subscribers, and $295 for all others. Advance registration ends April 3.
