Kornblau Tapped as DEG CFO10 Jan, 2006 By: Kurt Indvik
Craig Kornblau, president of Universal Studios Home Entertainment, has been elected CFO of DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group's executive committee. He replaces Sandy Friedman, who recently left DreamWorks Home Entertainment.
Also announced was the election to the DEG board of directors of Kelley Avery, worldwide head of Dreamworks Home Entertainment as that company's board representative, and Ron Sanders, president of Warner Home Video.
The executive committee is comprised of the five officers of the 19-member board of directors, which elects its officers. DEG members elect the board of directors.
The DEG board and executive committee will serve their current term until July 31, 2006.
DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group is an industry-funded nonprofit organization that serves to advocate and promote DVD while providing updated information about the format to both the media and the retail trade.
