Kodak Launching HD Player

15 Jul, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey

Kodak is the latest company to take on the challenge of streaming video from your computer to your home theater system, announcing that in September it will make available the Kodak Theatre HD Player.

Retailing for $299.99, the player features wireless connectivity and plays video at 720p. It also relays PC images, podcasts and music to HDTVs, and features HDMI, USB and flash card ports.

“The proliferation of HDTV technology has created a demand for HD content beyond standard television programming,” said John Blake, GM and VP of digital capture devices for Kodak. “With the Kodak Theatre HD Player, consumers will relive the most cherished moments of their life on their HDTV.”
