Koch Entertainment Distribution will soon distribute the kid-friendly Internet browsers of San Diego-based Children's Educational Network, beginning with the “Shrek Browser for Kids” ($6.97) and “Noah's Internet,” designed for the faith-based family.
The browsers, available on CD-ROM discs, are designed to allow kids to surf the Internet while avoiding sites their parents may not want them to see. Parents can add sites to a pre-approved list for each child and block out sites they don't want their kids to see.
With distribution to Wal-Mart, Costco, Target, Best Buy, Toys “R” Us, Borders and many other top retailers, Koch gives the browsers broader presence in the market.
“We love CEN's mission to build a safer and more educational environment for kids online,” said Koch president Michael Rosenberg. “We are excited to represent them in the retail marketplace.”
