Koch Entertainment will begin distributing the properties of International Media LLC, under a deal announced Jan. 16.
“International Media's brand of intelligent programming is the perfect fit for our home video roster,” said Koch Entertainment president Michael Rosenberg. “[International Media founder Gustavo Sagastume's] continued dedication for producing quality programs speaks for itself, and we're thrilled to be working with his new company and to distribute these fine programs at retail.”
Sagastume, a former VP of programming for PBS, started his company in 2007, and International Media LLC is currently responsible for several products, including John Paul II: A Saint for Our Times, which premiered on PBS. Other projects include The Osmond Family Reunion Concert Special, Celtic Thunder, Ayo: Live from Monte Carlo, and dance special Shangri La.
“I am pleased to be working with Koch Entertainment,” Sagastume said. “These are both difficult and exciting times in the media world because of the many changes that are taking place in the marketplace. I think a company like Koch is well suited to be a nimble and agile player in this very dynamic new world market.”
