Koch to Distribute Cloud Ten Pictures

24 Apr, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey

Koch Entertainment has landed the DVD distribution rights for Cloud Ten Pictures, the faith-inspired film production company. Releases will include upcoming films and the existing library, including the popular “Left Behind” series.

“We're ramping up in a lot of areas, from production right through to our own full post-production house, and Koch's commitment to us and the marketplace is a big reason we're able to do it all,” said Cloud Ten CEO Andr? van Heerden.

Michael Rosenberg, president of Koch Entertainment Distribution, said: “Cloud Ten Pictures has a very unique and successful brand of films that is the perfect fit to our existing line of family oriented DVDs. We're thrilled to be the exclusive distributor of these films on DVD and look forward to taking the Cloud Ten brand to a new level at retail.”

Koch will handle home entertainment duties after Cloud Ten's product is released theatrically and in churches via CNI Distribution, a division of Christian Network International that delivers faith-based media direct to churches.

“We're very excited to be the exclusive fulfillment agent for the Cloud Ten Church Cinemas program and we look forward to helping Cloud Ten and the church community expand their ministries' reach,” said Ed Clydesdale, president and CEO of CNI Distribution.

Cloud Ten plans on releasing one new feature movie every three to four months, starting in June with Smuggler's Ransom, starring Anthony Tyler Quinn (“Melrose Place”). After appearing in churches nationwide June 6, the DVD will be released June 10.

Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan) and Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects) star in Cloud Ten's The Genius Club (Sept. 5 for churches, Sept. 9 on DVD).

Saving God, starring Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible) follows on Oct. 9 (Oct. 14 for DVD).

Cloud Ten currently has three films in development for release in 2009.
