10 Mar, 2005 By: Jessica Wolf

DualDisc, the new DVD/CD hybrid format, is getting a boost this month from suppliers.

A new slate of DualDisc releases kicked off March 1 with Sony Music's release of Jennifer Lopez' Rebirth. Features on the DVD side include an exclusive never-before-seen documentary on the making of the superstar's latest album of the same name, footage from listening sessions and Lopez' European promotional tour as well as behind-the-scenes clips from the “Get Right” music video.

Sony last week bowed another DualDisc on the other side of the music spectrum with Judas Priest's Angel of Retribution.

More DualDisc releases from Sony as well as Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, EMI Music and 5.1 Entertainment will follow throughout the month, including — Chevelle: This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In), Crossfade: Crossfade, Duran Duran: Astronaut, Dishwalla's Opaline, Fleetwood Mac: Live at the BBC, Good Charlotte: The Chronicles of Life and Death, Gretchen Wilson: Here for the Party, Indigo Girls: All That We Let In, Jane Monheit: In the Sun, Lamb of God: Ashes of the Wake, MercyMe: Undone, Nellie McKay: Get Away From Me, Slaughter: Then and Now, Stray Cats: Rockabilly Blues and others.

DualDiscs retail at about $20.
