<I>Shrek</I> Carries TDK To the Gold Mine

Shrek is carrying third-party video game publisher TDK Mediactive to profits this quarter with booming sales. The company expects its revenues to more than triple for the fourth quarter on the success of and a few other choice titles, a TDK spokesperson reported.

``This is the first time the company has issued guidance to the investment community,'' said

Martin Paravato, c.f.o. of TDK Mediactive. ``We will elaborate further on the numbers after management analyzes actual results for the 2001 holiday season. "A significant portion of our revenue is attributable to the Shrek video games released during the year for

Nintendo Game Boy Color and for the Xbox.''

Revenues for the quarter ending December 31, 2001 is expected to be in the $16 million range, representing a 310 percent increase over revenues of $3.9 million for the same period last year.

For the nine months ending Dec. 31, 2001, revenue is expected to be in the $24 million range, a 321 percent increase over revenues of $5.7 million for the same nine-month period last year.

work and the quality of our titles,'' said c.e.o. Vincent Bitetti. ``We are planning an impressive lineup for 2002, with titles in the works for leading platforms and brands including Shrek, Robotech and Dinotopia.
