IRMA Changes Name20 Aug, 2007 By: Billy Gil
The International Recording Media Association (IRMA) has changed its name to the Content Delivery Storage Association (CDSA). An updated logo will help reflect the organization's move to include all forms of consumer content delivery and storage systems.
“The CDSA name more aptly defines our mission as the worldwide forum on trends and innovation for the delivery and storage of entertainment and software content — including both physical and electronic media systems,” said Brian Wilson, chairman of the board of CDSA.
The Princeton, N.J.-based organization has served the entertainment software marketplace for more than 37 years, helping to introduce new consumer audio and video formats, from the audiocassette through next-generation, high-definition discs.
